7 Bachelor & Bachelorette Party Trip Ideas for Adventure Lovers
Bachelor and Bachelorette Party Trip Ideas
FOR ADVENTURE LOVERS
Dear bachelor, bachelorette, maid of honor, or best man,
Cheesy nightclubs are out, exhilarating adventures are in! Why recreate “The Hangover” wasting your time and money on a night that you probably won’t even remember? Guys, that $15K you and your friends will burn on bottle service could be spent on something far more rewarding. Skip Vegas and choose to create lasting memories while being healthier and more adventurous with your favorite people. Here is a list of seven USA West Coast luxury adventure resorts that will make the pre-wedding trip of a lifetime.
1. GATEWAY CANYONS RESORT & SPA, GATEWAY, COLORADO
Bachelor or bachelorette party trip ideas: Gateway Canyons Resort & Spa offers you and your friends some seriously intense adrenaline-charged adventures. Think heli-skiing through the peaks of Telluride, rock climbing the iconic West’s Palisade Rock, or off-road racing in a Pro-Baja truck on the resort’s private 2-mile closed racing track. They also have a shooting range, hiking trails, wine country tours, fly fishing, horseback riding, river rafting, and more. Balance out your exhilarating adventures with a little lounging around the canyon-surrounded-pool or outdoor bar. Then, perhaps a rejuvenating day at the spa? In the evening, Gateway Canyons offers an upscale dining experience at their Entrada restaurant, or a casual dinner at their Paradox Grille and sports bar. The best part is the truly amazing auto museum featuring rare and historic cars that date all the way back to 1906.
2. CAVE B WINERY & RESORT, QUINCY, WASHINGTON
Bachelor or bachelorette party trip ideas: If you and your adventure-loving friends are looking for a hidden wine lover’s paradise, this is it. Cave B Winery & Resort offers several different kinds of accommodations, but for a real adventure I recommend staying in their cozy and well-appointed yurts. A unique experience that you and your friends will cherish as a special memory for years to come. Washington State is a place of immense beauty and the many hikes in the area reflect just that. Spend the day exploring the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge, wine tasting, or photographing the natural scenery. Dinner at the cozy Tendrils Restaurant should not be missed. The resort also offers biking, swimming, bird watching, and a full service spa.
3. SORREL RIVER RANCH, MOAB, UTAH
Bachelor or bachelorette party trip ideas: Because, Moab. Need I say more? Ok, I will. Sorrel River Ranch is a 240-acre luxury adventure resort that sits along the banks of the Colorado River. Surrounding the ranch are sweeping red canyons and majestic rock formations that beckon to be explored. The town of Moab is just a few minutes away, as are Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Sorrel River Ranch has an adventure center on site – ready to turn your most exciting ideals into a reality. Among some of my favorites are mountain biking through the magnificent national parks, canyoneering and rappeling through Utah’s striking red rock terrain, and white water rafting down the majestic Colorado River. The adventures are endless… they even offer private painting lessons! Girls, how fun would it be to do a riverfront painting session with your besties? Don’t forget to make a dinner reservation at their ambient river-front grill that boasts live music on the patio, and stop in for a refresher at the super hip Epic Bar & Lounge. After dinner go for some good authentic fun with your group as you sit around the bonfire making s’mores and drinking hot chocolate (or wine).
4. AMANGIRI, BIG WATER, UTAH
Bachelor or bachelorette party trip ideas: No one does luxury like the Aman Resorts. Amangiri is the ultimate five star luxury adventure spot, and is for those who really want to splurge. Activities include watersports & boat tours on Lake Powell, private hot air ballooning over Horseshoe Bend & the surrounding area, helicopter tours of the Grand Canyon, and day trips to Zion & Bryce Canyon National Parks. Among my favorite activities is the special private dinner they host called Horses and History. You and your group ride horses into the sunset to a place they call “The Raven’s Nest” (which is a sandy spot on top of a rock hill). There, they set up a grill, blazing fire, and a bar and cook you dinner under the bright stars while you watch a Navajo ritual dance by local tribe members. On your last day, relax by Amangiri’s heavenly pool and wrap it all up with a spa treatment at their heavenly desert spa.
5. POST RANCH INN, BIG SUR, CALIFORNIA
Bachelor or bachelorette party trip ideas: The Post Ranch Inn is a place for those looking for a tranquil and very luxurious bachelor or bachelorette pre-wedding getaway. You can choose to book the Tree House cabins, Cliff House suites, or a private house to hold the whole group. Activities offered at the Post Ranch Inn include a visit to the heavenly McWay Falls, fabulous hikes and state parks in every direction, multiple art galleries to peruse, and a huge coastline to explore. Sierra Mar, the architecturally stunning dining establishment at the Post Ranch Inn, is one of the most beautiful restaurants in existence. The menu and dramatic views are equally fantastic. For the gals, end your evenings with a nightcap and a soak in the cliffside hot tub under the stars.
6. AMANGANI, JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING
Bachelor or bachelorette party trip ideas: The Amangani pool overlooking the Tetons has one heck of a view, but Jackson Hole is also home to some of the best skiing in the rockies. With Yellowstone National Park and Teton National Park at your fingertips, you and your group will have endless places to explore and a myriad of adventures to choose from. Summer & Winter alike, Amangani is equally beautiful no matter what season. Winter offers skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, dogsledding, sleigh rides and more. In the summer wildlife is abundant and the wildflowers are in full bloom. At night time Jackson Hole comes alive with some great restaurants, wine bars, cookouts, chuckwagons, and quirky little dives. So bring your cowboy hats and enjoy the best of the wild wild west!
7. FOUR SEASONS HOTEL, SEATTLE, WASHINGTON
Bachelor or bachelorette party trip ideas: Seattle is an ideal base to exploring some of the most beautiful sights in the Pacific Northwest. The Four Seasons Seattle just happens to be my favorite place to post up in the area, and would be a great spot for your bridal party or groomsmen to gather. In addition to Seattle’s proximity to many national parks and beautiful sites, the city of Seattle itself has a lot to see and do. There are lakes in every direction, the food scene is incredible, and there are city parks galore; my favorite being Alki Beach Park. From downtown Seattle, you can take an easy and very scenic ferry ride to any of the San Juan Islands. Check out Bainbridge Island, Whidbey Island, or Orcas Island. You and your group can also reach the islands via picturesque floatplane ride through Kenmore Air. Don’t forget to leave time to explore either Olympic, Rainier, or Cascades National Parks where you can see those very Instagram-able brightly colored turquoise lakes.
YES! So sick of the same ol’ club scene. They’re the same in every city! This is way cooler 🙂
