Maravilla contains 5 large well-appointed bedrooms, each with their own balcony and huge bathroom. The entire villa accommodates up to 12 guests. Additionally, each room has large plate windows displaying the most picturesque scenery. I loved the huge kitchen and also the bar area, replete with a pool table. The extensive living area has comfy couches and other fine furnishings. Moreover, this Costa Rica luxury vacation rental is well air conditioned, keeping it comfortably cool throughout the day. Sky-high ceilings and lots of open floor space make for a very relaxing ambience. The décor is nature themed, simple yet chic.
Amenities galore + breakfast is included!
You’ll love the fact that you won’t have to spend your vacation hours cleaning the house. Maravilla has a daily housekeeping service included with the booking. As a matter of fact, you won’t have to spend your vacation hours rustling up breakfast either. A wonderful breakfast, consisting of pretty much whatever you’d like, is also included with your stay. Likewise included are a concierge service, private driver and bartender! I found all of the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
Authentically, local cuisine to try
A few suggestions for your other meals — check out Aqua Sport Bar and Restaurant for a fun and casual lunch. It’s a super cute little beachfront lounge restaurant. My suggestion? Order the casado and try one of their delicious gigantic mojitos. Enjoy the tree swings or soak up some sun from one of their lounge chairs on the sand. You may even get a little side show of monkeys playing in the trees.
For a causal dinner, check out Soda La Teresita in Playas Del Cocos. The homemade pastas and ravioli are sure to please! Alternatively, I recommend Abbocato and Colibri for a fine dining experience in Playa Hermosa. There is no shortage of good fresh food in the area.
Activities to keep you coming back for more
You’ve been luxuriating in the beautiful villa, swimming in the gorgeous pool, soaking up the most amazing views, and, of course, eating fresh and delicious food. What other adventures await in Guanacaste? For the active and adventurous: try a hike to a gorgeous waterfall, go zip lining, enjoy scenic horseback riding through the rain forest, or slide down a jungle waterslide. There is even white-water rafting, snorkeling, canoeing, kayaking, and ATV tours.
Conversely, for something a little more relaxing, take a boat tour or a sunset cruise, enjoy a soothing massage, relax at the beach, take a volcanic mud bath, or unwind in some natural hot springs. You can ask the concierge about the ventures that sound the most enticing to you.
The Maravilla experience in summary
In conclusion, Maravilla is a premier Costa Rica luxury vacation rental and makes for a superb family or besties getaway. There is an abundance of activities and adventures to be had in spectacular surroundings. However, the only caveat is that the master bedroom is on the main floor level. All other rooms are downstairs which may not be ideal for parents who want to be in close proximity to their children.
All in all, I found this to be a fabulous destination, lacking nothing. In view of all of these amazing features and wondrous qualities, Maravilla is definitely worthy of being at the top of your group vacay list!
