Treehouse in Tanzania: Staying at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
Set within the boroughs of an ancient mahogany forest, this treehouse in Tanzania provides a unique setting for a safari adventure. It is the only permanent lodge in Lake Manyara National Park, which makes your stilted treetop experience even more exclusive. The park itself is a small, yet diverse wilderness area from the Rift Valley soda lake to the lush woodlands and steep mountainsides. Be on the lookout for pink flamingos, tree-climbing lions and large elephant families. This is what Lake Manyara is known for.
Glamping Safari in the Serengeti: Singita Sabora Tented Camp
“If God were a camper, he would choose Singita Sabora Tented Camp,” says one of the past guests in a review that caught my attention. “Truly heaven on Earth,” says another. When hotel reviews sound like personal little love notes more than anything else, that is a sign of a special place. Singita Sabora Tented Camp is one of those places. Its glamping safari location is in the middle of 350,000 acres of unfenced wild territory. Here, animals wander freely through the 1920s-style camp with all sorts of antique treasures to discover.
Mahali Mzuri: Staying at Sir Richard Branson’s Kenya Safari Camp
Appropriately translated, Mahali Mzuri means a “beautiful place” in Swahili. This uniquely designed tented Kenyan property is just that, a beautiful place. Owned by Sir Richard Branson, it is part of the Virgin Limited Edition hotel collection. Mahali Mzuri is located in the private Olare Motorogi Conservancy. Guests can witness herds of wildlife directly from their bathtub, bedroom, and private deck.
The Most Luxurious Place to Stay in Namibia: Wolwedans
Warm desert breezes and vast open spaces. Remoteness, quiet, and that feeling of truly being away from it all. Bright orange sand dunes, painted views, and the wildlife: truly spectacular. Even better is to experience all of this magic with Wolwedans, the most luxurious and unique place to stay in Namibia. A place where every need is tended to by the warm and welcoming staff. A place where there are no crowds, no disturbances, and generally not many other guests. The pace of life is as slow as you want it to be. Yet the adventure that beckons is wild! This place is my dream come true.

Murky Zambezi waters and rugged wilderness surround the only luxury bush camp in the Victoria Falls region, known as Sindabezi. This property sits on a private island and is sandwiched right between Zambia and Zimbabwe’s national park borders. It is comprised of 5 waterfront luxury tents or “chalets” in which you can witness the spectacular wildlife scene directly from your bed

Aman-i-khas: Luxury Tiger Safari Camp in India
Lions, tigers, and bears. Oh my! Ok, just tigers - very very large Bengal Tigers. My recent trip to Aman-i-khas in Rajasthan, India was nothing short of exhilarating. Aman-i-khas is a 10 tent luxury safari camp on the outskirts of Ranthambore National Park. It is nestled within a brush forest near the village of Sawai Madhopur. The main attraction in the area is the Bengal Tiger, but there is also a wide array of other wildlife including crocodiles, leopards, jackals, Sambar deer, peacocks, and around 300 species of birds. In addition to the safaris, Aman-i-khas offers multiple unique excursions that include a trip to Ranthambore Fort, sunset camel rides, and tours of the local village.
