The New Key West Luxury Hotel: H20 Suites
Hot off the press from the Key West luxury hotel, H20 Suites.
I was recently invited to stay at the new Key West luxury hotel, H20 Suites. This property is a beautiful modern oasis for adults. It was designed with relaxation and indulgence in mind. Positioned in the perfect location, H20 Suites is in short walking distance to the beach and to all of the action on Duval Street.
Each suite is “residence inspired” meaning that it has a living area, work desk, spacious bathroom, and all of the modern five star amenities. Bathrobe and slippers? Check. Mini fridge full of treats and beverages? Check. Two large flat screen TV’s? Check. Private patio with hanging sofa? Check! Private plunge pool? Heck yes! Well, actually, not every suite has a private pool, but 11 of the 22 suites do. Yes, that’s right, there are only 22 suites, making this place intimate and never crowded.
If you get lonely at your private plunge pool (yeah, right!) then you’re in luck because there’s also a rooftop pool, sundeck, and bar to keep things social. Or perhaps you’d like to work on your bikini body? There’s a full fitness center with state-of-the-art cardio and resistance equipment. Scooter and bike rentals are available to explore the lively island, and if that’s not enough then the 24 hour concierge is ready to help you set up the Key West adventure of your dreams!
Speaking of adventures, the concierge at H20 Suites helped me set up two of the most scenic excursions ever! One day I took a breathtaking sea plane ride to the Dry Tortugas. We landed in the turquoise waters of Garden Key; the island that houses Fort Jefferson. The white sand beaches and the kaleidoscope of blues made the views from the top absolutely marvelous.
The next day I took a helicopter tour over the mangroves and islands surrounding Key West. I had no idea that places like this existed in the United States. The waters were so many shades of blue, and so crystal clear that I could spot sharks and turtles from the air. I opted to ride with the door off, so that my view was unobstructed. What a thrilling experience it was!
Just to be clear, there is plenty to do on Key West itself, should you decide these excursions are not for you. For starters, the dining scene on the island is great! There are so many options of fun and lively places to eat, most of them featuring patios and outdoor seating. Shopping is great and is a very short distance from the hotel. The beaches are fantastic and there are sights to see on every corner. The nightlife scene is vibrant with wine bars and live music. In addition to all of this, sailing or fishing adventures can be booked through the activity desk. At H20 Suites relaxation is invited, but boredom is not an option!
I was hosted as guest of the luxury Key West Hotel, H20 Suites, but the opinions expressed in this article are, as always, my own.
