Resort Report: Le Sirenuse
Perfect for a honeymoon or romantic getaway, Le Sirenuse is hands down the most visually stunning resort I have ever experienced. Before this, I had never given a hotel a perfect 50/50 rating, but this resort has got it down.
Like one gigantic feast for the eyes, everywhere you look are views of the colorful Positano hillside, the ocean, and flowers in full bloom.
My sisters and I arrived at sunset. I could not resist, I skipped all of the things I usually do after traveling all day, and went straight for the patio to bask in my marvelous surroundings. Nothing compares!
Dinner at La Sponda was something out of a fairytale. We sat in a room filled with hundreds of candles and vines growing up the walls. To our right was the magnificent view over Positano and the ocean.
Sadly, I was not able to capture the photo I wanted to get to showcase La Sponda, but I did manage to get this one of the interior (minus the view).
Breakfast at Le Sirenuse could be served as room service…
Or as a gourmet buffet fit for a king… it’s no wonder why they have 27 chefs working in the kitchen!
During the day the hotel offers many different activities and excursions. Since I was only in Positano for two days, I chose to explore the town. Le Sirenuse has it’s own private pathway leading down to the beach, so that one can avoid the crowded public walkways of tiny Positano.
After a day full of exploration, lemon granita, and sweltering heat, my sisters and I decided it was time to relax at the hotel’s outdoor champagne and oyster bar. We ordered a feast of appetizers from their tasting menu and sat for rest of the evening, enjoying our once-in-a-lifetime surroundings.
In conclusion, the only thing that was missing for me at this hotel was the love of my life; the one who has made my dreams a reality. My dear husband, I guess we will just have to come back together someday!
